10. Jamia Millia Islamia:
Making its way into the top 10, Jamia Millia Islamia is holding the 10th position.
Jamia Millia Islamia was established in 1920, in Uttar Pradesh.
In 1935, this central university was shifted to Okhla, East Delhi.
United Grants Commission (UGC) granted this university the Deemed status in 1962 and later in 1988, this university became a central university.
On 29th October 2020, this university completed its 100th year of excellence.

9. Savitribai Phule Pune University:
Savitribai Phule Pune University widely also known as SPPU was established in 1949, in Pune.
The SPPU was formed after a year when the Bombay Legislature passed the Pune University Act, in 1948.
Later on 9 August 2014, the University changed its name from Pune University to Savitribai Phule Pune University to honor Savitribai Phule.

7. Calcutta University:
Calcutta University formerly known as the University of Calcutta was established on 24 January 1857.
